Valerie Holcomb, MS, LPC provides scheduled, outpatient telehealth psychotherapy. Outpatient virtual care is not appropriate for individuals experiencing acute, high-risk crises requiring higher levels of care or immediate medical stabilization.
Telehealth Services Are NOT Suitable For:
Active Suicidal Ideation (SI) or Homicidal Ideation (HI): Individuals experiencing active thoughts, intent, or plans to harm themselves or others.
Active Substance Withdrawal or Medical Detox: Individuals requiring active medical detoxification or medical oversight for substance withdrawal.
Severe, Unstabilized Psychiatric Emergencies: Any crisis requiring immediate, real-time physical intervention or higher levels of care (e.g., inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization programs).

Mental health telehealth services in South Carolina are regulated by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) and the Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Addiction Counselors, and Psycho-Educational Specialists. Clients have the right to receive information regarding practitioner credentials, scope of practice, fees, and privacy safeguards prior to therapy.
